Payroll Coordinator

Acro Service Corp is seeking to add a Payroll Coordinator to our corporate headquarters for a full-time permanent role in Livonia! SUMMARY

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for daily collection of contract associate time-cards, using internal company accounting software while ensuring contract associate’s hours are accurate. The Payroll Coordinator will also provide customer service to internal and external customers regarding time-card inquires and differences or issues that may arise.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collection of employee’s time.
  • Verification of the accuracy of employee’s time.
  • Input of employee time into payroll system.
  • Production of and distribution of accounts receivable invoices and employee payroll checks.
  • Verification and payment of employee holiday and vacation pay.
  • Resolution of employee question and problems associated with payroll checks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High School diploma

Experience

  • 5 years’ work experience in payroll processing.
  • 1-year experience in a high-volume payroll environment.

Skills

  • Ability to speak clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to communicate with diverse groups of people and routinely produce positive outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from employees.
  • Proficient computer skills required (Windows, MS Excel, and MS Word).

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • Processing employment verification and garnishments
  • Processing large volume, multi state payroll with Ceridian Dayforce
  • Experience working in Great Plains (GP)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Frequently sits, walks, and stands.
  • May be required to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment.
  • The noise level in the work area is usually low.
