Implementation Manager

SUMMARY

The Implementation Manager (IM) is responsible for leading the implementation of a new MSP and/or VMS program and assuring a smooth handover to the steady state program management team. The IM will build partner relationships with clients to support the implementation process and manage expectations toward a successful launch.  The IM will be available for ongoing consultation to the program management and client staff, as needed, with respect to queries and issues that pertain to the implementation.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the implementation project as the Project Manager for implementation activities, deliverables and timelines
  • As the implementation Project Manager, lead (i) project teams comprised of program management and solutions delivery staff, which maybe across business units and geographies and (ii) change management to assure a smooth transition experience for the client, suppliers and contract workers.
  • Support sales effort as the implementation SME via in-person or phone meetings with prospective clients, proposals in response to RFI’s or RFP’s and other marketing channels the company may deploy, e.g., webinars, VMS demonstrations, etc.
  • Fully document current state processes
  • Gather client requirements and customize solutions in conjunction with technology and program support teams
  • Determine process and technology alignment
  • Determine interfaces required to achieve data transfer
  • Develop future state plan that meets all customer and contract specifications.
  • Coordinate with technology providers to ensure a thorough understanding of the technology requirements
  • Document future state process in conjunction with technology provider.
  • Develop key customer business metrics and implement improvements based on client feedback to ensure client satisfaction
  • Conduct pre-implementation, implementation, and post-implementation discovery and configuration sessions ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aware of respective deliverables, deadlines, decisions, interfaces, invoicing, and testing requirements
  • Review configuration decisions with client and the VMS development team
  • Hold clients and internal teams accountable to time sensitive deadlines adhering to implementation schedule
  • Make ongoing recommendations as to needed revisions
  • Provide accounting with complete invoicing and timekeeping detail
  • Complete configuration workbook
  • Attending and participating in meetings and presentations
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • At least a bachelor’s degree

Experience

  • 7 years of experience in MSP/VMS implementations for contingent labor; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable

Skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, tasks, and meeting deadlines while maintaining quality
  • Excellent presentation skills used in delivering solutions to executive level clients
  • High attention to details
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong drive and commitment for delivering outstanding results
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze information and ideas
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement, process documentation, and workflow skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Frequently sits, walks, and stands. 
  • May be required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment. 
  • The noise level in the work area is usually low.
